The Cleveland Spiders got a sterling performance from pitcher Richard Stumpp, but the Minnesota Twins still prevailed, 2-1. Stumpp threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball. Scott Brown, credited with the save, is now 4 for 5 in save opportunities. The triumph puts Minnesota at 79-50 for the season.
