The Minnesota Twins picked up a win at Metrodome 1983, knocking off the Cleveland Spiders, 5-2. On the mound for Minnesota was right-hander John Martin, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the win, Minnesota upped its record to 80-51.

Steve Brye, who finished 5th in the AL in OPS with .854 in 1980, helped out the Minnesota cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the first baseman went 2 for 4 with a triple.
