Allen 3-5 to Power Yankees Offense
Conditions were not ideal but New York and Baltimore were able to put their game in the books.

The New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles, 11-7, at Yankee Stadium 1976. The Yankees got a fine performance from right fielder Rod Allen, who went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The win elevated the Yankees to 70-66.

With New York leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Allen hit a fastball from Danny Cox for a 2-run double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Yankees ahead, 3-0.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Allen.
