St. Louis Cardinals starter Ken Holtzman pitched his team past the New York Mets, 5-2. St. Louis now has a record of 77-72 with the win.

With St. Louis leading 2-0 in the top of the fifth, Holtzman hit a fastball from Pete Redfern for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Cardinals ahead, 5-0.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Holtzman.
