Smith Delivers Walk-Off Win for Astros
The Chicago Cubs got a superb performance from right fielder Jim Rice, but the Houston Astros still won the game, 7-5. Rice slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Victor Sanchez, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits. The win has Houston at 11-22.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Houston trailing 5-4, Zail Smith hit a fastball from Tom Niedenfuer for a 3-run home run, giving the Astros the walk-off win.

"This place went bonkers at the end," Smith said.
