Braves Buried - Out of Playoffs Saturday, September 11th, 1982 The Atlanta Braves playoff hopes were already minuscule at best, but even those faint hopes have been dashed. The team was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs today. Atlanta last appeared in the postseason in 1969. This is their 13th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 106 times in their 111-year history. Atlanta has won the World Series 2 times in their history. |
