Twins Foster Out Rest Of Season
Sunday, September 19th, 1982
The season is finished for George Foster of the Minnesota Twins. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Twins right fielder suffered a bone spur in his elbow while throwing the ball in a recent game against the Kansas City Royals. Team doctors said it would take at least 4 weeks to heal.

Currently Foster has 29 home runs and a .253 batting average.
