Deshaies Beguiles Wichita Friday, August 27th, 1982 Jim Deshaies had an impressive outing at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium today, hurling the Iowa Oaks to a 1-0 shutout victory over the Wichita Aeros. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Wichita skipper said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the left-handed Deshaies yielded 7 hits and tallied 8 strikeouts with 4 walks. Deshaies has a 4-6 season record so far.
