Breitenbach Hurls Indians to Shutout Victory
Saturday, September 4th, 1982
In an outstanding mound performance, Indianapolis Indians starter Mark Breitenbach fired a complete-game shutout against the Omaha Storm Chasers at Rosenblatt Stadium today.

Breitenbach was the key to the Indians's 5-0 win. The 24-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 2 hits and 1 walk he allowed.

"2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout."

This year Breitenbach has gone 10-15 with an ERA of 3.13 and has 133 strikeouts in 224.1 innings.
