Wichita Devastated by Playoff Elimination Saturday, September 11th, 1982 Wichita Aeros fans are no doubt having a rough day today. The club came close, but in the end has fallen short and was mathematically eliminated today from qualifying for the postseason. Wichita last appeared in the postseason in 1980. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 9 times in their 12-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Aeros have missed the playoffs 7 times. |
