Hubbard Rockets 3 HR Against San Jose
Saturday, August 21st, 1982
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Glenn Hubbard did today at Ballpark at San Jose, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 13-2.

"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Hubbard said. "Good things happen, when that happens."

The Tacoma Cubs second baseman blistered the San Jose Missions for 4 hits, batted in 7 runs and scored 3 times.

"It ain't like we weren't trying," San Jose manager said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."

Glenn Hubbard hit a two-run home run off Jerry Gomez in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jerry Gomez in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off David Grier in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

So far this season, Hubbard has recorded a .232 batting average with 66 hits, 9 home runs, 40 RBIs, 42 runs scored and a .322 OBP.
