Schueler's Season Could be Over
Monday, August 23rd, 1982
When Ron Schueler was hurt against the San Jose Missions, the Tucson Toros were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 34-year-old starting pitcher suffered bone chips in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Schueler would miss 6-7 months of the season.

In 22 starts this season, Schueler has picked up 8 wins while suffering 7 losses. He has pitched 136.2 innings, allowed 111 hits, struck out 79 and posted a 3.42 ERA.
