So far in his young career, Ernie Riles has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pacific Coast League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.

The 21-year-old Phoenix Giants second baseman hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 8 hits in 16 at-bats, 1 home run, 9 RBIs and 9 runs scored.

Riles is presently batting .276 with 10 home runs, 65 runs scored and 53 RBIs. His OBP is .362.
