Dreadful Season Sees Playoff Hopes Dashed for Asheville Saturday, August 28th, 1982 The Asheville Tourists will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. The 1982 season won't involve a playoff run for the club, as Asheville was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. The Tourists are still searching for their first playoff appearance. They haven't made the playoffs in all 12 years of their history. |
