The Southern League has heralded Dan Greenhalgh of the Knoxville Blue Jays as the #1 man on the mound for the 1982 campaign.

This year's Pitcher of the Year Award winner stood out by running up an impressive 16-4 record, holding opposing hitters to a .193 batting average and posting a 2.24 ERA. The 28-year-old hurler tossed 180.2 innings, gave up 126 hits, fanned 197 and issued 71 walks.
