Sun Sox Buried - Out of Playoffs Wednesday, August 4th, 1982 Things haven't been going too well for the Winter Haven Sun Sox this season and now mathematics is against them as well. The club has been officially eliminated from postseason contention. Winter Haven last appeared in the postseason in 1969. This is their 13th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 12 times in their 12-year history. |
