Pirates Frederick FSL Hitter of the Week Monday, August 16th, 1982 It was some kind of week for David Frederick of the Tampa Pirates. First he hits the heck out of the ball, ripping it at a .381 clip and the next thing you know, he is voted the Player of the Week in the Florida State League. Last week Frederick went 8-for-21, chalked up 5 home runs and 10 RBIs and scored 5 runs. Not a bad week's work at all. This season Frederick is batting .244 with 92 hits, 30 home runs, 64 RBIs, .338 OBP and has scored 64 runs. |
