The Spartans pitching ace made some of his dreams come true this year, winning 14 games and losing only 17. In 35 starts, Cary registered a 3.14 ERA and limited other clubs to a .226 batting average. He fanned 243 in 332.2 innings and issued 104 walks. He received 5 first place votes out of a possible 6.
