Tim Pyznarski took Midwest League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22.

For his spectacular campaign, the Wisconsin Rapids Timber Rattlers star has been named the 1982 Midwest League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the third baseman.

On the season he compiled a .328 batting average to go with a .434 on-base percentage. The native of Chicago, Illinois also added 33 doubles, 3 triples, 20 home runs, 69 RBIs and 87 runs scored.

He received 11 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jim Presley of the Wisconsin Rapids Timber Rattlers finished second in voting, while Greg Smith of the Wisconsin Rapids Timber Rattlers finished third.
