Caiado Thwarts Modesto, 6-0 Sunday, July 11th, 1982 Anacleto Caiado of the Medford Nuggets shut down the Modesto Nuts 6-0 on a 3-hitter, holding them scoreless while ringing up 3 strikeouts and allowing 3 walks. After the game Caiado said, "Guys have been fouling off a lot of pitches lately and I've been getting into too many deep pitch counts, but I'm pleased with the way things went today.
