August's NYPL Top Pitcher is Blue Jays McDevitt Wednesday, September 1st, 1982 Last month was a very successful month for Steve McDevitt of Utica. So successful that he has been honored as the Pitcher of the Month in the New York-Pennsylvania League. McDevitt shut down league hitters in fine fashion, rounding out August with an impressive 5-1 mark and 1.76 ERA in 6 starts with 51 strikeouts in 51 innings. This season-to-date McDevitt has 9 wins and 4 losses and a 2.21 ERA. |
