Voyagers Capture Pioneer League Fall Division Monday, August 30th, 1982 Let loose, Great Falls fans, your team has won the Pioneer League Fall Division. The Great Falls Voyagers have officially captured the crown, the 1st in franchise history. "We've got a team that can do it all and we think do it just as well as anyone in the league," said starting pitcher Julian Polanco. "I hope no one is taking us lightly once the playoffs start." Certainly the team's division crown will garner them a fair bit of respect, as the 40-27 record puts the club in position for the franchise's 1st Pioneer League championship. "You never get tired of being in the playoffs," said the team's manager. "This is what you play for." |
