Thursday, September 9th, 1982
The Bozeman Pheasants will continue the trek towards a Round 2 title, while the Great Falls Voyagers are headed home for the season.

Bozeman won the Round 1 with a clinching game 4-3 victory at Ballpark of Pheasant Springs, concluding the series at 4-1.

"We didn't want this thing to go any further, that's for sure," Tom Duggan said after officially being named series MVP.

He turned in a dominant offensive performance to win the award, with a .579 batting average, .619 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 3 RBI and 6 runs scored.

The Bozeman Pheasants don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Medicine Hat Blue Jays - Williston Water Wolves series. Williston leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
