Nunez Tames Capitales 18-1, 15 Ks Thursday, December 24th, 1981 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Ed Nunez, the Punta Cana Cocos topped the Panama City Capitales today by a score of 18-1 at Cocos Stadium. The 24-year-old Nunez brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 8 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Capitales manager said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes."
