Alfredo Campos of the San Juan Pitorros spun his magic on the Nassau Black Sails today. He blanked them 8-0 on 6 hits, registering 8 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Campos said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, San Juan skipper said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Alfredo pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.

Looking at his season stats, Campos has won 5 and lost 1, collecting 52 strikeouts and 18 walks in 59.1 innings with a 2.88 ERA.
