Hendershot of San Juan Player of the Week Monday, December 28th, 1981 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the South of the Border, but last week Bob Hendershot of the San Juan Pitorros reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Hendershot rocked opposing pitching for a .476 average (10-for-21), 2 home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Hendershot is hitting .257 with 5 home runs. |
