Williams's Hit Streak Reaches 31 Games

Marietta HS lost to the Annandale HS Pirhanas 9-4 at Eagles Ballpark today, but Bob Williams kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Cretins center fielder has now delivered hits in 31 straight games.

"Bob has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Marietta HS manager told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had."
Bob Williams flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.

Looking at his season stats, Williams has compiled a .362 batting average and a .434 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 36 runs.
